Ryan Bowness was given the Stanley Cup for a day in his hometown Halifax, Nova Scotia. One of the first stops for the Pittsburgh Penguins scout was to return St Marys where he played for 4 seasons for Trevor Stienburg’s Huskies. Prior to his university career he played with Brampton Battalion and Oshawa Generals of the OHL. Bowness was accompanied by his father Rick, the Tampa Bay Lightning associate coach. John Moore was outside the Homburg Centre and spoke with father and son during their half hour stop and then were whisked away in a limosine.
