Patrick Kyte is an 18 year old defenceman with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. He decided to leave his hometown and the junior team, the Pembrooke Lumber Kings to join the Mooseheads with hopes of one day playing in the NHL. It was a difficult decision to leave his hometown team but is convinced its the right decision. So far he has impressed the coaching staff and fans and is looking to become a more well rounded D-man. John Moore caught up with the newphew of former NHL defenceman Jim Kylte and Mooseheads coach Jim Midgley this past week.
