Opening ceremonies for the 40th annual SEDMHA were held Thursday night at the Dartmouth Sportpslex. More than 6,000 players are attending this year’s tournament and close to 300 teams from across the region and Ontario as well. Emcee Cyril Lunny introduces the Ross Drake Memorial Service Award to Halifax Hawks Nathan Payne. Plenty of teams in attendance on Day 1 of the long standing tournament and play will continue thru Sunday at rinks across HRM.
