Newbridge Academy’s Player of the Week is Grade 9 student Alberto Pison of the U18 boys hockey team. Pison is having an outstanding start to his first year at the private school after relocating from Denmark. He has been a great addition to the hockey team and is fitting well academically at the school as well. His goal is to eventually play in the USHL or the QMJHL and he certainly has made the adjustment to life in North America. He is hoping to help Newbridge win the PSHF title at end of season. He was drawn to the school for many reasons but also admits fellow countryman and former Halifax Mooseheads star Nikolaj Ehlers, now with the Winnipeg Jets is a player he admires and follows closely.
