Halifax Mooseheads alum (96/98) Steve Mongrain is only player parts of 2 seasons with the team but remembers those days well. He was part of a memorable run during the 1996/97 season which saw the team come within a win of a trip to the Memorial Cup. Mongrain reconnected with his old team this week at the Academie Les Estacades where he is a hockey instructor and also the goalie coach for the Shawinigan Cataractes. John Moore sat down with the goalie who eventually went to play with the Oshawa Generals in the OHL.
