Halifax Mooseheads didn’t take long to hire their new head coach for the 2017/18 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season. Within 10 days of head coach Andre Tourigny leaving, the Mooseheads signed assistant coach Jim Midgley to a new contract as the team’s head coach. Midgley has been an assistant coach for past 6 seasons and aos served as head coach for Nova Scotia at the Canada Winter Games. He also was an assistant for 2 seasons with Saint John Sea Dogs. John Moore caught up with the former St Marys Huskies star who spent 3 seasons as their team captain before decising to pursue a coaching career. Midgley shares what type of coach he will be behind the Moosehads coach and what type of team he hopes to ice this season.
