Matt Welsh turned in one of his finest performances of the QMJHL season in the Charlottetown Islanders goal Thursday in QMJHL action at Scotiabank Centre. The Halifax native turned aside 37 Mooseheads shots leading the Islanders to a 2-0 shutout win. The game’s first star has always savoured the opportunity to come back to play in his hometown and sparkled as the Mooseheads could not find a way to solve the 3rd year QMJHL veteran.
