Jared McIssac leaves today for Hockey Canada’s 44 player U18 selection camp in Calgary Alberta. The 17 year old Halifax Mooseheads defenceman is coming off an excellent QMJHL rookie season and has been working out to be prepared for the Hockey Canada selection camp which will determine the 22 player roster for Canada at the Ivan Hlinka tournament in Czech Republic/ Slovakia in August. McIssac’s goal is to not just make the team but also wear a letter. Once the team is selected they will travel to Europe under the watchful eye of head coach Brent Kisio. The Salmon River, NS native has been working on his skating technique with Jill Plandowski and trains in the gym with Mooseheads strength trainer Alexie Pianosi.
