Ex Mooseheads star Darcy Ashley considered retiring from the game after a couple of concussions last season knocked him from the UPEI Panthers lineup. Ashley suffered concussions during his 4 year career with the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL and was close to hanging up the blades. He took time off this past summer to heal and think about his future and decided to return for his 3rd year and adjust his playing style. John Moore spoke with the rugged winger prior to the opening game of the AUS playoff series with the SMU Huskies at the Halifax Forum.
