Elite Atom aged player Connor Trenholm has received medical clearance to return to play minor hockey after a 3 year absence. The Cole Harbour native was a rising player in his age group in Nova Scotia but was diagnosed with a heart condition and doctors recommended he no longer play the game. The Trenholm family introduced Connor to other sports to satisfy his competitive fire. This past summer, during a checkup the doctors gave Connor a clean bill of health and urged him to return to play the game, he once excelled at. So after missing 3 years of minor hockey, one year at the atom level and 2 more at Pee Wee, he is back as a member of the Cole Habour Pro Hockey Life Storm of the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League. The Storm competed at the 2016 Esso Cup in Halifax and John Moore caught up with Connor, his dad Chad, teammate Landon Miron-Anderson and minor hockey coach Steve Bent. Also included in this video is footage from the 2013 Brick Invitational Super Novice tournament where Trenholm scores to tie a game with 2 seconds remaining to force overtime.
