Moncton Wildcats Director of Hockey Operations Roger Shannon began the QMJHL trading period with a bang, unloading high scoring forwards and his steadiest defenceman. Shannon traded high scoring forward Cam Askew and defenceamn Alex Lavoie to Shawinigan for Chales Taillon & 2 2nd rund picks (2018/2019). He also dealt 19 yr old Adam Holwell to the Titan along with Zack Malatesta for 5 draft picks and then sent the Klima twins, Kelly & Kevin to Chicoutimi. John Moore sits down with Shannon to hear why the trades were necessary as the Wildcats try and rebuild the team which is last in the overall standings.
