Alex Drover saw Sidney Crosby score a goal for the Rimousi Oceanic in the QMJHL and has been working on copying the move ever since. Known in hockey circles as the “michigan move, “Drover not only tried the move but scored a goal for the Halifax McDonalds in their game against the Cape Breton Tradesmen in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League on Saturday, Nov4th. It was the highlight of the night across the NSMMHL and probably will rate as one of the best highlights reel goals of the season. Some will cosnider it a lacrosse like move. Drover is the Macs leading scorer and is a top ranked prospect for this summer’s QMJHL draft. John Moore interviews Drover and take a look at the goal at regular speed and in slow motion.
