2016 Jordan Boyd Celebrity Challenge raised $150,000 for the Jordan Boyd Foundation this year and the 3 year total is now $400,000. The Challenge pits teams in the Halifax area against each other and includes the pros as well. The tournament was established 3 years ago after Bedford native, Jordon Boyd died suddenly at the Acadie Bathurst Titan training camp due to a undiagnosed heart condition. The Boyd family remains deeply attached to the tournament with family members serving various roles on the organizing committee. Brad Marchand, Josh Anderson, Liam O’Brien, Riley Barber, Shawn O’Donnell and Logan Shaw were the hockey celebrities who attended.
